Cafe Esme is a touch of Paris located in the heart of downtown Jersey City. Enter the sun drenched, warm and friendly cafe and you’ll be hit by the aromas of freshly-made coffee, all of which are Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance sourced.
Non-coffee drinkers can enjoy organic teas, matcha and healthy, fresh squeezed juices that are made to order while you wait.
The french take their pastries seriously and Cafe Esme is no exception. Here you’ll find a mix of savory treats , made from scratch crepes and a variety of sandwiches and paninis. All products are fresh, natural or organic.

We curate a seasonal menu of coffees that express dynamic flavors unique to the coffee’s origins, which we strive to highlight through advanced brewing techniques to bring out a sweetness and complexity of flavors. All our coffees are Hand Roasted, Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance sourced.
Fresh Squeezed Juice
All our juices are made fresh while you wait. We use a perfect blend of vegetables and fruits to create tasty, refreshing, reinvigorating and delightfully tasty juices.

Everything here is so incredibly fresh and delicious! I’ve gotten the rose latte every time I’ve come here so far and it’s always great. We’ve also gotten sandwiches and croissants for breakfast. The croissants are incredible, made in house, and probably the best croissants I’ve had in years. The service is friendly and helpful, the food and drinks literally couldn’t be better. I highly recommend you swing by here- it’ll be your first time of many!

This is my favorite cafe in town. I’ve seen and tried them all. Cafe Esmé really does things right. The food is high quality. You must get a cappuccino when you go! The staff is so professional and respectful. They go above and beyond every time. The inside of the cafe is really high-end, truly a great setting to enjoy a bite, relax and/or do some work. Cafe Esmé for the win!!!

This place is the best! Super friendly staff, delicious pastries (fresh and a cool mix of standard and creative), great breakfast options and an amazing juice bar. The decor is adorable, the ambiance is fuego, and I just had the best decaf latte of my life. It’s a small space but overlooks a park and they’ve really maximized the seating arrangement to make it feel cozy without being claustrophobic. Lots of greenery, cute accents. And this banana Nutella crepe honestly made me see through time and space for a second. A super welcome addition to the neighborhood!
